Leo Goncalves has been running Cafe Ao Leu on Rua Cupertino Durao in Leblon for over thirteen years, long enough to have earned it a reputation as one of the most consistently excellent espresso stops in the South Zone. A Black Eagle machine anchors the bar, and beans are sourced from certified producers in Caparao, Chapada Diamantina, and the Cerrado Mineiro. A second location on Rua Almirante Goncalves in Copacabana extends the same quiet precision to a different neighborhood.
