One of Wellington's longest-standing cafes, Midnight Espresso at 178 Cuba Street has been open since 1988 and remains a genuinely late-night option, running until 1am every day of the week. Havana Coffee Works beans power the espresso bar and bags of Havana's retail range sit behind the counter for purchase. The menu is broad and notably vegan and vegetarian-friendly, reflecting the inclusive Cuba Street community the cafe has served across more than three decades.
