Plowshares' Upper West Side flagship at 2730 Broadway opened in November 2014 as the brand's first retail cafe, bringing daily-roasted specialty coffee to a neighborhood that had been underserved by the third wave. The Bloomingdale district location is spacious and warm, drawing Columbia University faculty, neighborhood families, and uptown professionals who have grown loyal to the house single-origins. The coffee is roasted on a vintage Probat and sourced with the same directness that defines the Harlem sibling.
