Opened by Marie and George in February 2016 at Gotzkowskystraße 28 on Moabit's southern edge, Spontan is a pared-back specialty bar sourcing its espresso and filter program from The Barn and Fjord, two of Berlin's most respected roasters. The intimate room leans into understated quality: exacting technique, seasonal single-origins on filter, and house-baked croissants and sandwiches. Its tucked-away location beside the Spree keeps the crowd genuinely local.
