The 2018 opening of Starbucks' first Italian location at Piazza Cordusio 3 was deliberately a Reserve Roastery format, not a standard chain entry, featuring a full in-store roasting area, a siphon bar, nitro cold brew, and the Oleato olive-oil espresso line. The theatrical 2,300 sqm palazzo interior, espresso cocktail station, and custom La Marzocca bar equipment make it one of the most technically ambitious coffee spaces in Europe. Gambero Rosso credits it with fast, effective service and genuine quality despite the scale.
