Back to Black Coffee

Tucked into a side street off the Spiegelgracht within walking distance of the Rijksmuseum, Back to Black has roasted its own single-origin coffees since 2015 and bakes every cake that lines the counter. The retro-industrial interior, resident cat, and proximity to the canal belt give the café a distinct neighbourhood feel despite its central postcode. A second location in West and a dedicated roastery on Nieuw-Zeelandweg confirm the operation's growing ambitions.
