Caffe dei Frari

Established in 1870 and overlooking the Fondamenta dei Frari opposite the great Gothic basilica, this bar has original murals, an antique wooden bar counter, and a wrought-iron upper balcony that give it genuine historic character. Coffee is traditional Italian espresso served to art students, church visitors, and neighborhood regulars. The space transitions to a cocktail bar in the evenings under a separate concept.
