Obscura has anchored Sangenjaya's specialty coffee scene since 2009 with a roastery and three locations in the neighborhood, earning a devoted local following before the third-wave term became common in Tokyo. Single-origin lots from Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Guatemala, and beyond are available as siphon, pour-over, or drip. Prices remain refreshingly modest for the quality on offer, with large iced coffees from 540 yen.
