Takuya Okita opened this small Abeno cafe in February 2022 after eight years at Osaka's Tamakura Coffee Roasters and two years at Coffee County in Fukuoka, two of Japan's most demanding specialty training grounds. His Kalita Wave pour-overs and a Probat roaster in the corner signal the quality of what arrives in the cup. Records play constantly, and Okita frames good coffee as an extension of a neighbourhood's character rather than a performance.
