Installed in a restored kiosk facing the Pyramid of Cestius at Piazza di Porta San Paolo since spring 2024, Mostro is led by coffee captain Daniele Deidda, formerly of the Pergamino team, pulling Aliena beans on a La Marzocco alongside V60 and AeroPress. Umami Roma sandwiches, vinyl deep house sets and natural wine after dark give the spot a personality well beyond its modest footprint. The views of the pyramid from the outdoor tables are, frankly, unfair.
