Founded in 2023 by Korean-born Ganu Park, Sloth brings a Korean-influenced aesthetic and a Stronghold S7 X roaster to Osaka's Nakatsu neighbourhood. Park's light-roast approach, which he describes as producing cups that drink like tea, earned second place at the 2024 Ambessa Japan Roast Competition. The minimal, Korean-inflected interior and high-precision espresso on a La Marzocco KB90 make it a compelling addition to the city's specialty scene.
